I cannot reach you directly, for it would only send me back into a world of insanity that I have no desire to revisit. But I can hope that you might come across this letter and learn that there are always two sides to every story. You have already been told one. Here is the other. Continue reading “The Unsent Letter”
Shape of You is a track from the Divide album by Ed Sheeran. It has been pushed around as a single and topped a lot of charts. It took me awhile to get accustomed to this type of song from Ed Sheeran as it seemed a bit different from the rest of his works. At first I wasn’t really sure about it, and while I don’t think it’s his best song, I’ve decided it’s not too bad.
So let’s see if we can make some sense of the song.
The club isn’t the best place to find a lover
So the bar is where I go
Me and my friends at the table doing shots
Drinking fast and then we talk slow Continue reading “The Meaning of Shape of You by Ed Sheeran”
How do you pick up the pieces of a relationship you once had?
How do you restore the lost love?
There were many times where things ran flawlessly and everything was in what seemed like a harmonious balance. Problems were small and love was plentiful.
On the other side of the equation, there were just as many time periods where everything went wrong and love was nowhere to be found. Continue reading “Heart Goes Numb”
Some that are not happy with the election results are trying to present the case that the Electoral College isn’t a fair system and that it disenfranchises voters.
Usually this argument is presented when a candidate wins the Electoral College but doesn’t win the popular vote which happened in the 2016 Election between Trump and Clinton. Continue reading “Why The Popular Vote Doesn’t Matter”
Over my years I have been exposed to many extenuating circumstances where I honestly felt that being honest was not the right thing to do because the brutal implications of that honesty were more severe than if I had just been dishonest in the first place.
Dishonesty has been long frowned upon by many religions. “Thou shalt not lie” happens to be one of the Ten Commandments. Even though they were probably chiseled into stone, are they really set in stone? Continue reading “Thou Shalt Not Lie…Sometimes”
The sudden changes in weather patterns, physical intensity, and elevation make hiking one of the toughest challenges both mentally and physically. It is an activity where you can always expect the unexpected and no matter how hard you try to prepare for it, sometimes you find something unexpected — which you should already be expecting.
I’ve started too many hikes in shorts and a t-shirt in scorching temperatures worrying if I have enough water to make it to the top only to get snowed on near the peak. The elevation change can have a drastic effect on temperatures alone. Continue reading “Hiking Can Be Therapeutic”
If you find yourself saying to others that only “God can judge you” then you probably are well aware that your life is kind of fucked up or that the things you are doing are a little bit questionable.
Whenever I hear someone say this phrase I kind of have a face-palm reaction.

Putting all of the opinions and bias on the back burner we lay out the case into a logical flow to go inside the minds of the 12 jurors and how they viewed the case.
There were 3 crimes the jury had to consider:
- Home Invasion
- Sexual Assault (1st degree)
- Sexual Assault (2nd degree)
When we sit down to discuss a possible conviction we must look at only relevant testimony to each particular charge. Continue reading “Inside the Minds of the Jasper Jury”
WARNING: If you’ve ever received a loan or borrowed money it could be used against you in the court of law.
As desperation set in, the State of Michigan prosecution tried to persuade the jury into believing that Mr Jasper was a manipulative person based solely on the fact that he “convinced” a bank to give him a loan many years ago for his business.
It was almost as if the prosecution was suggesting he was a former member of the X-Men possessing some type of special ability to control the minds of others. Continue reading “The People v. Mark Jasper – An Unbelievable Tale”
